Every project at Cloud 9 Recording starts with a conversation. Reach out and let's have one.

What to Tell Us

The more context you give us upfront, the more useful that first conversation will be.

Who You'll Be Working With

When you reach out to Cloud 9 Recording, you're talking to Jack and Joe Napoli — the same two people who built the studio in 1994 and have been running sessions here ever since.

Before any session is booked, we sit down and talk through your project. What you’re making, what it needs to accomplish, where you are in the process, and what the right scope looks like to get you to the finish line.

We call it a pre-production meeting. There’s no charge for it and no obligation. It’s just the most useful first step we know of — for you and for us. Artists who come in with a clear plan make better records. That conversation is where the plan starts.

When you reach out, it helps to know:

What you’re working on. A full album, a single, an EP, a voiceover project, a commercial spot — whatever it is, tell us what it is.

Where you are in the process. Are you in pre-production and planning ahead, ready to book immediately, or somewhere in between?

What services you think you need. Recording, mixing, mastering, full production — or if you’re not sure, that’s fine too. We can help you figure it out.

Your timeline. If you have a release date, a campaign launch, a deadline of any kind, tell us upfront. We’ll plan around it.

Your experience level. First session in a professional studio or veteran of many — either is welcome here. Knowing where you’re starting from helps us set up the session to work for you.

There’s no front desk, no booking coordinator, no layer between you and the engineers you’ll actually be working with.

That’s intentional. The pre-production conversation works because it’s a real conversation with the people who will be in the room with you. By the time your session starts, we already know your project, your vision, and what the session needs to accomplish.
